Chapter 101

He woke up to the sound of a ringing phone. It was first thing in the morning, who in the hell was calling,
"Hello?" He groaned as he heard a woman's voice,
"Hey, it's Lexi. Did I wake you?" He ran his hand over his face,
"Yeah, but it's ok. Um, what's up?" He was not really in the mood but he didn't want it to seem like he was being rude,
"Nothing much. Haven't talked to you in a while. I was at the club last night but they said you had just left." He remembered the previous night, he had left with Chloe and her friends and ended up bar hopping until four that morning,
"Yeah." There was silence and he didn't know what to say, really he had nothing to talk about with her,
"Nick?" He cleared his throat,
"Yeah?"
"Why don't we meet, I wanted to talk to you about something. Is that cool? It won't take long." He sighed,
"Sure."

They sat around the room quietly watching television when she turned to him,
"So, you guys have been busy." He nodded,
"Yeah, sorry I didn't call...it's been crazy." She laughed and shook her head,
"You didn't stop calling because it was busy Nick, come on." He tried to figure out what to say but she continued,
"But it's cool, whatever." He began to stare off into space,
"So Amber told me she told you about us." He looked over at her, he hadn't thought about that in a long time and simply nodded,
"Look Nick, I didn't tell you that because I didn't know what you would think of me. I really liked you and I had fun and I wanted it to be more." He nodded,
"Whatever, it's no big deal." She ran her hands down her thighs,
"I guess it wasn't meant to be but we had fun while it lasted....a lot of fun." They seemed to look at each other for a moment longer than necessary and he leaned over. He knew he was pushing it. Why would she let him kiss her after everything they had been through, everything he had done? He was a little taken back when she leaned in and kissed him, her tongue slowly entering his mouth,
"I want you." She opened her eyes to see him looking at her,
"I want you too Nick." They stood up watching each other as they undressed themselves. He watched her walk over to the bed then crawl on all fours like a cat, the look in her eyes inviting. He sighed, who was he to turn down what was in his face. He pretty much did her wrong and she's going along with this, he'll never understand some girls he thought as he made his way to her.

His sister was waiting at the airport when he walked through the gate. He frowned,
"YOU got here on time?" She rolled her eyes as she walked into his open arms,
"Shut up...Angel came." Nick laughed,
"Yeah, she's a little more responsible than you BJ." He looked around until she spoke up,
"She went to the bathroom." He nodded and watched as she began to look around,
"You're by yourself?" He smiled,
"Yeah, Tim took me to the airport, nothing was going to happen on the plane." She frowned,
"What about now?" He laughed,
"Something happen with you around? BJ "Badass" Carter? I don't think so." She rolled her eyes and smiled as they sat and waited for Angel to return. She placed her arm around his shoulder,
"I'm gonna tell mom you came here without security. She's gonna be pissed her little baby was being protected by the big bad whores." He shook his head as he rolled his eyes. The fact of the matter was he didn't think his mom had a problem with the girls anymore. A couple of years after Mandy she seemed to accept all the girls. Of course, she absolutely loved Shayna, like everyone else in his life. Angel ran over a tackled him, nearly causing them to fall to the ground,
"Hey Angel baby." She smiled,
"Hey Nick, how long are you gonna be home?" He sighed, leave it to Angel to bring him back to reality. She always seemed to be thinking of when they were going to be separated again instead of enjoying their time together,
"A couple of days, then I need to get home." She sighed and rolled her eyes,
"I don't know why you moved away from home." He ran his hand over her hair,
"Come on doll. I just needed to be somewhere a little more..." BJ laughed,
"Alive than butt fucking Egypt. We definitely need to move." Angel looked over at her and frowned,
"Get a job and you can move anywhere you want." Nick stepped in between them,
"Don't start you two." They began to walk and all Nick could think about was how much he was ready to be away from his family, it sounded bad but his family was the source of a lot of irritation. From his mom wanting to get him started on some new business venture to BJ whining about the latest issue in her life.
