| Chapter 35 I hung up on her, I know it was wrong but really I don't want anything to do with her. She bothers me way too much. "Who was that?" I threw the phone on the bed and looked over at Brian, I really wasn't in the mood for a lecture and I know that's exactly what I'm in for if I tell him but I'm doing it anyway. Why? I don't know, "This girl I met in LA at the Playboy mansion." The disgust in my voice was obvious, "You're avoiding a Playboy bunny?" The shock was on his face and the disbelief was in my mind. Was he crazy? Me? Avoid a Playboy bunny? Never, "No, she was just at the party now she's bugging me." He nodded, "So why did you give her your number?" Any other time that would be the million dollar question. I do tend to give my number to girls and then end up regretting it later, "I didn't, she got it somehow." He grunted, "Hmmm, stalker?" I shrugged, "Sure, if that's what you want to call it." Brian shook his head, "Why don't you just tell her you don't want her calling?" AJ laughed, I'd almost forgot he was in here, "Because he made her a promise." "I did not." Damn he annoys me more and more lately, "Physically, you made her a promise." I'm thankful he went through his rehab but I don't need his mental mumbo jumbo thrown at me, "You fooled around with her at the party." He turned to Brian, "She gave him a blowjob." Here it comes. I'm bracing myself for the lecture from Brian on how I should treat women, "Well, what do you expect Nick? And now you won't even talk to her? Well, you brought it on yourself, you need to be mature and handle it." And with that little pearl of wisdom he left my room. I looked over at AJ, "He gets on my nerves." He laughed, "You're just mad because he's right." I was about to tell him he could follow right behind Brian when my phone rings. He beat me to it and I frowned as he answered it, "Hello?" He hit my hand when I tried to take it away from him, "Who may I ask is calling?" Now that I think of it, let him answer the phone, it could be Jennifer again. His eyes stretched and he handed the phone to me, "It's your vamp." he whispered and I frowned. I have no idea what the hell he's talking about, "Hello?" "Hi there, who was that?" I didn't catch the voice, "That was AJ." I hope she keeps talking and I catch the voice because I don't want to have to ask who it is, "Oh, I'm back in New York. I'll have the picture for your sister sent out tomorrow." Brehan, thank God she mentioned the picture. I'm so glad I didn't have to ask her who she was, something tells me she would have been offended by that big time. "Oh cool, she's going to love that picture. So, when did you get back from Paris?" "Oh about eight hours ago. Where are you?" I turned my back to an eagerly listening AJ, "I'm in Boston. We have a couple of shows here. Have you gotten any sleep?" If I had just got back from Europe I would be knocked out, "Yeah, I just woke up not too long ago. My internal clock is all off but one of my friends is going to be in the city so I have to go see her." She sighed, "So?! What's been up with you? You so busy you need other people to answer your phone for you?" I turned to look at AJ and he was sitting on the couch going through some book of pictures and poems and shit a fan gave me, "Nah, there's this girl that keeps calling me-" She laughed, "Say no more. Why don't you just tell her to get lost?" I couldn't do something like that. It just wasn't in me to be so mean, unless someone was really really getting to me and did something fucked up. Confrontation is just not my thing, "I don't know, she's just some girl. It's just annoying but she's not really doing anything." "Is she an ex or something?" Or something is right, "A girl I messed around with once and now she keeps calling me." Brehan laughed, "Tell her to buzz off, so you banged her once, tell her to get over it." I wish I could, I wish that was in me to do but it just wasn't, "I didn't even bang her. She just-" Man, I should shut up now, "She just what?" Why the hell not, "It was only, she gave me a-" Damn, I couldn't even say it, "She gave you a what? A handjob? Blowjob?" I smiled, she was blunt to say the least, "Yeah, the last one." She laughed, "That's it? And now she's calling all the time?" I'm glad she sounded like she thought it was ridiculous too, "Yeah and Brian says it's my fault for messing around with her." "Brian, who the hell is Brian and is he gay?" I laughed, "He's in the group with me and he's not gay, he's just religious." She grunted, "Same thing. Don't listen to Brian. Just because you stuck your dick in her mouth doesn't mean you are her knight in shining armor. Chicks are stupid." Now I know it's not me and it's not just guys. There are girls out there who understand the ways of the game too. As far as Brian goes, I understand his religion means alot to him but it annoys me that he seems to forget he was sleeping with girls he wasn't in a relationship with when he was younger. "I should talk to you about girls and shit more often I like your answers better. You seem to know what's up." She groaned and mumbled, "Yeah, but I can't get my shit right." I wasn't sure if she really meant to say that to me, "Steven?" There was silence for a moment and I was regretting saying anything about her boyfriend, "How do you know about Steven?" I don't think we've ever had a real conversation about him when she wasn't drunk, "Just noticed stuff. So, how are things?" Maybe I shouldn't have asked that. It probably wasn't my place. She probably didn't think we were all that close to want to confide in me about her relationship with her boyfriend, "If you don't want to talk about it I understand. I mean, we just met really-" "Actually, it's alright. You aren't in it like all my friends are, a fresh perspective might do me good but I don't really want to get into it tonight, it'll just spoil my fun. I have to go, I have to get ready to see my friend. Give me a call in a couple of days." I agreed and hung up the phone, only to be bumrushed by AJ, "Ok, she's calling you. You're calling her leaving messages just because. I know cause D told me so don't try to deny it, so what's up?" I shook my head, "Nothing is up, we're just friends." We may not be the best of friends but hopefully we're getting there. She still intimidates the hell out of me but more and more I hope I'll get more comfortable.
