Way Out West |
Kinky surf tunes by one of the most exiting german surf groups. W.O.W is a combo you
should witness on stage. They are wild. They are loud. They even manage the biggest
cruncher. They are 100 % off the Richter. If you have them on stage, you are gonna catch
the wave for sure. W.O.W. just released their second album on Kamikaze-records. |
The Vampires |
The Vampires are the ultimate dark knights of instrumental rock & roll. Their
sound is bloody and frightful. They will make you quiver and shout. With their cd
Bat-attack they became one of the best selling artists on Kamikaze-records. These
bloodsuckers spent the past time in their dungeons to work on new material. So look
forwards, a new record will be available soon. |
The Cave 4 |
The Cave 4 is a must for all them who fancy trash and violence. These cats know how to
torture their instruments. They are awesome wild. The Cave 4 did gigs with bands like The
Mummies, The Phantom Surfers, The Lyres, Davie Allen and the Arrows, and so on, and so on.
Their latest release Bikini Crash on the U.S. label CD-Musick bailed out the
lot. |
Speed Chicken |
To keep up with Speed Chicken means having energy, velocity and stamina. They attract
people with a raw kind of rock & roll. Speed Chicken conquered the hearts of
surf-maniacs, rocka/psycho-billies and punk rockers by playing tv-themes, surf classics
and also own tunes. Some people say that their bongo bongo man is the real reincarnation
of the Memphis Flash. Their newest record: Chicks who love guns is
available on Swindlebra-Records. |
Fifty Foot Combo |
This combo is one of the best instrumental groups that exist in Europe. Their LP/CD
Go Hunting contains a delicious mixture of surf tunes and jungle exotica. The
Fifty Foot Combo has been several times in Germany and nearly all these gigs were a
tremendous success. Because they present a convincing show. On stage, they are wild and
always very motivated. A new release will appear in spring 2000. |
The Stingrays |
Listen to the sound the Stingrays produce and you start longing for summer, sun, and
the smell of salty water. The Stingrays started way back as a GDR rockabilly-trio, known
as the Cruisin Cats. In those times already, they had a predilection for the twangy
fender-sound. So why not playing these instrumentals and become a surf band. These lads
favour the vintage style. |
The Twang Sirenes |
Another surf band from the east part of Berlin. They started as the house band of the
notorious Surfsyndicat, playing well-known surf instrumentals. They have been playing in
nearly all the clubs in their town. As Apeman Joep joined in, these guys started to
compose own songs. Keep an eye on them because they know how to wreck a party. |
Johnny No & The No-Men |
Rough guitar chords over a throbbing bass and wild pounding drums, along with a lot of
yelling and shouting... Be ready for a wailing party every time Johnny No & the No-Men
are around. It is Berlins beat sensation No. 1. |
KEK 66 |
Kek 66 is an amsterdamned teen trash-combo who is the only legal successor of the
legendary the Kliek. These lads do a great job on keeping the nederbiet alive
and also are able to play awesome good mid-sixties punk stompers. Their first LP/CD got
released in December 1999. The dutch newspapers and music magazines had real positive
reviews about Kek 66 masterpiece. |
The Firebirds |
Man the Firebirds do have the wildest stage show I have ever been a witness of. They
come from the north east of the Netherlands. The Firebirds play only cover-versions, but
it is the way they do it. I am eager to get them to Germany because they are so damned hot
and bar walking wild. |
The Hefners |
The Hefners, that is sixties punk in the real sense of the word. These lads from
Lawrence, Kansas are experts in putting punk into sixties. Although one say that The
Hefners got influenced by bands like The Makers, The Smugglers or The Headcoats, they
definitely have a style of their own. The songs are short and fast. The Hefners do have
several releases on Middle Class Pig records. The latest album: Lay Off, this is the
old mans private poison got recorded and produced by Tim Kerr and is as much
punk as it is garage. A new album will appear within a few months. Its going to be
called Repop. The Hefners are coming to Europe for a promotion tour in
October/November. |
The Bazookas |
The Bazookas are a boostin punk-rock trio from Hamburg. Dirty driven rock & roll
according to the thought: anything goes. The Bazookas do a lot of gigs, characteristic
hereby is the inexhaustible energy and the fun they have during their shows. They released
a new Album with the title Gasoline on Fanboy-Records. |
The Berserkerz |
The Berserkerz are settled in the swamps of the Rhine-delta in the lowlands of
Holland. Like all teenies, they visited all the gigs they could and took all the drugs
they could get. That was way back in the mid 7-ties, early 8-ties were they met the raw
power. Now in the 9-ties after a journey of about 16 years, the Berserkerz were founded.
To do the same thing that they always did in a way...give music a kick ass fuel injection,
save rock & roll. Hell yeah... raw power rock & roll. And here it is: The first
DETROIT RHINE DELTA PUNK-ROCK band!!! |
The Scamps |
The Scamps are a rock & roll trio with a little 6-ties garage influence. The
Monsters, Spiderbabies, Sonics inspire them, Back from the grave-samplers and
stompin rockabilly. There will be no escape; their curse will strike your town one day.
They have two great albums released on Crazy Love Records. |
The Backseat Bastards |
Hopefully your nerves have got the strength to read the coming words and you are
receivable for extreme dimensions. Because your new rock & roll adventure is called:
THE BACKSEAT BASTARDS: It all started about two years ago as a surf punk trio. Within a
very short time these wild savages settled their evil reputation by playing a mixture of
garage punk, high-speed rock & roll and unconventional surf tunes. Every one who saw
the Bastards live realized that this means real desperation, anger & sex. These
Bastards ought to be banned on vinyl. |
The Giraffe Men |
Do Giraffe Men really come from Braunschweig ? Its hard to believe. When you see
them you would suggest they just left the trees. Two of them went directly to the next
tattoo shop still wearing their jungle-outfit. Meanwhile the other two Giraffe Men visited
the nearest music store to buy them some instruments. What else could they play than
primitive jungle rhythms. But what they do, they do well. On stage The Giraffe Men still
wear their jungle-skirts while playing ass kickin Rock & Roll. May the Jungle fever
get ya. |
The Burnouts |
Finally a band that puts Denmark on the Rock & Roll map! The Burnouts build on
acts like The Oblivians, New Bomb Turks and Nashville Pussy and take everything a step
further by adding their own unique brand of pure punk power. The Burnouts had shows with
the A-Bombs, Guitar Wolf and The New Bomb Turks. Last year they played on the Roskilde
Festival. This year their first album Go Go Racing on scandinavians best Rock
& Roll label Bad Afro Records. |
Achtung Spitfire Schnell Schnell |
What the he... is that. It comes from above and it comes fast. Four sharp dressed men
playing a.s.s.s kickin surf and garage-trash. They rock n roll, bang and twang, and
literally burn the house down. Its about time that record companies do wake up and
sign these pilots of trash. |
69 Charger |
This Band is a real exemple of no-bullshit rock & roll. These guys rock the hair
out of your ears and do keep the fuckin weenbags out of the barn. 69 Charger
recorded their first 7 inch Ive got a feelin at the famous Rocket
Dog studio. Produced by Mr. Rocket Dog himself. |
