Gonna Get Better
This image portrays a part of one of the strangest places I have ever visited. I can't remember the name of the place, but I came across it somewhere in western Minnesota or North Dakota. I was on my way west when I noticed this interesting small farm community off in the distance to the north of the highway and down as the highway was elevated at that point. There were a couple of churches, some grain elevators, gas station, general stores, school, and about thirty houses or so. With the exception of one house, everything was abandoned and empty. The one house which seemed to be occupied was surrounded by a herd of goats. The strange and unusual appearance of the rest of the town was hightened by the fact that every yard had at least two or three cars, trucks, or tractors, all dating to the mid 1950's. It really appeared as though aliens came and took everyone away at one time, or they all left in a hurry leaving all their belongings behind. Whatever the circumstances, it was really weird to see. The house in this image was at the end of a street in this ghost town. I added the two horses from a photo in my personal file because they seemed to fit into the picture and brought some magic mystery to an already mysterious place.
