Joe Low's Boat

Joe Low's boat rests at dock in Killarney, Ontario, a small fishing and tourist village in a protected channel off Georgian Bay of Lake Huron.          This wood hull boat was built by Joe Low (deceased 1999) who was a craftsman extraordinaire. The Low family has built many of these fine fishing boats here for generations. The village has not been overdeveloped like many other popular tourist attractions and retains it's rural charm with quaint old buildings, a century hotel and rustic surroundings. Thousands of travelling vessels port here for provisions and overnight docking throughout the summer, while in winter, this sleepy little town comes alive, offering accomodations to snowmobilers from afar.
