I wanted to capture all of the different components in this addition to my" Sudbury Heritage Prints" and the only way to accomplish this was from an elevated perspective. I rented an 80 foot high crane to get the vantage point I needed. My style of painting requires detailed photographs from which to work; most paintings involve hundreds of hours of easel time. A number of wide angle shots and a series of detailed close-ups were needed to work from and all from the same precise location. This made the use of any aircraft to do the job, out of the question. My good friends at "Tracks and Wheels" in Sudbury, provided the crane.
