Hey people,

This is a page that will store links to the programmes that you need to download in order to play the GOriginal-Wam clips featured in the galleries.

A lot of the clips are very large; some of them are over 30 meg. My site limit is 20 meg so there's obviously no way that I could put these clips on the site in one go. Therefore I am using a programme called WinRAR, which is very similar to WinZip. This programme allows me to split the very large files into many smaller files, normally around 1.5 meg. In order to not break the bandwidth limit I can normally have about 5 meg of clips on the site so I will probably have 3 parts of the clip on the site at any one time. However, it should be noted that you will not be able to "unzip" the clips, and thus play them, until you have downloaded all the parts of the clip. So unfortunately you may be downloading 3 clips a day and not be able to see the clip till the end of the week. But hey, its better than nothing, and I don't know of any other solution. Trust me, these clips are worth the wait! Anyway you can download  WinRAR at this site,

http://www.rarsoft.com

Obviously download the free version--there is really no need to buy it. Just follow the instructions here and download the appropriate version.

Nearly all the clips are in Div_X format, and I am unable to convert these to an alternative format. Thus you will need to download the Div_X codec. I have put what I think is the right installation programme to install the codec. Just right click on the link below

DivX_311alpha.exe

However, I am not totally sure if this is the correct link. So if you install it and it doesn't work the try downloading the codec at,

http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divxcodec.html

And if this link is old then just go to,

http://www.divx-digest.com

and try and find the correct page from there.

I'm afraid I have no idea how this relates to mack users because the Div_X codec is used in Windows Media Player. Let me know if it works for you lot, or if you need something else,

Cheers

Greg
