Our band was first started in 1998 with Ryan, Brian, and Mike just jamming and playing around. After two years, we picked up our singer, Matt Wilby, and our lead guitarist, Andrew Johnson. We formed our name SPED, short for Special Education, because we feel we are all special in some kinda of way. Our music consists of original songs written by the entire band to give a unique sound of punk/rock music.
Speds new single album, The Average Mind of a 2 Year Old, is on sale. We spent two months making this short, but worthwhile CD. Sped recorded three of our originals. These songs include "Let Me Go", "Behind", and "Nothing". Also, Sped made an interesting introduction on our CD that everyone will just have to listen , too.
- We have dropped off our cd at a few clubs in D.C, including Metro Street Cafe, and Johny K's. So keep goin to the site and we'll let you know when our next show is.
- Our next show is at University of MD College Park. We arent exactly sure when, but it is in the month of Feb. 2002; we'll let you know when the final date is.
- We got more shows! Along with the U of MD show, we got another one at UMD at some Union Hall?....I dunno...but its a show.
- The next one is at Catholic University of America. We are expecting a big outdoor croud for this one in the early Spring of 2002. Tune in for more details.
