July 2007, my new favourate bike for adventuring is the DR650. Almost got it the way i want it. Just added a scott oiler and the IMS tank.. The Transalp is becomming redundant. The CRF230 is my favourate dedicated off roader.

Yep, to the right it's me and my 1997 Honda Transalp XLV600 before i got in to DR650s. Photo taken in Lees Valley when we went looking for snow (and found it) 17 June 2006. More photos and a video to come.

Added 20March 2007 Click to watch the youtube video of our trip through the shingles of Birdlings Flat, up and over the tops of the peninsula hills and in to Akaroa. Then over the back of Akaroa to see what's at the end of Lighthouse Road, in to Flea Bay and on the way home we go via a rough, muddy Stock road (that was fun)

Added 26 Nov2006 My latest video is from an organised Adventure ride held around Canterbury on the 23rd October 2006. There were many duelsport bikes of all sizes and more dirt roads etc

Kiwibiker.co.nz riders hit the Waimack on video. It's 2minutes,41seconds long recorded from onboard the Transalp.

9mb average quality DivX clip but still takes a while to load on dialup. 2Minutes 41seconds long of the Kiwibiker.co.nz people and I on our Duel Sport/Adventure bikles riding the North bank of the Waimak. I'm on my Transalp with the helmet camera..

to see my 2005 Brass Monkey Motorcycle Rally trip story. We went via Danseys Pass, The Black Forrest and Haldon Station.

Checkout the Plains Motorcycle Club site. I used to ride and camp with them but now my interests lie more in Dual Sport or Adventure Riding, Plains is a Sealed Road Club.
