A historical overview of travelling performers, from earliest times to the present; with a focus on their role in preserving the folklore, myth and magic of mankind's earliest beliefs. Beginning with primitive ritual and moving through the Troubadors, Commedia Dell'Arte, mummer's plays, Punch and Judy to medicine shows, pitchmen, and the circus sideshow past and present. A look at the Realm of Faery and its denizens, including the modern Otherkin phenomena - other-worldly souls incarnating into human bodies. We discuss why this might be happening and what it might mean. Includes personal experiences and insights.

Bring Back the Night
Introduction to a unique tradition, based on Gothic Paganism and Faerie magick. Not just another coven, thee GFG aims at functioning as a philosophical and artistic lodge, offering friendship, training, and support on one's chosen path. We'll discuss the developing spiritual path of Gothic Paganism. This blends the gothic subculture, which encompasses music, literature, art, role-playing games, and fashion; and the eclectic neo-Pagan revival. Gothic Paganism embraces the Dark or Night Side; this is not, however, to be confused with evil. We shall explore topics such as vampires, dark moons, and cemetery rituals in a context of acceptance.

Sufi and Dervish rhythms are used to create and build energy for spiritual dancing. Unlike some of the western and middle African rhythms where a group of drummers must each have a part (polyrhythms etc.), North African rhythms are open for improvisations, making them ideal for drum circles. An overview of current alternative sub-cultures such as punk, goth/industrial, BDSM, ravers, and travelling groups like Deadheads and the Rainbow Family; with a focus on the magickal and/or shamanic practices common to each.
