POEMS FOR DALE AND TRACEY

DALE

TRACEY

It started with a phone call
I received one day from dad
He rang me up to tell me
Of the good news that he had

He knew of someone whom he said
Had just got on the net
This was someone new to me
That I had never met

He put me on the phone to her
To see if I could help
I said hello to my surprise
She didn't muck about

She asked me questions
Heaps of them
I told her what I new
Then from there a friendship formed
And it just grew and grew

The chance had come to meet one day
And I could hardly wait
Then in walked Tracey with a smile
I'd known this gal as taite

We'd known her mum for many years
But never known of her
It is a shame we'd never met
A few years earlier

She's a friend of the family
Whom I had never heard of
So many things we could have shared
If dad had introduced us

But now I'm glad I got to know
This person we call Lisa
You'd see what I was talking about
If you could get to meet her

She has a heart that's filled with love
She shares with friends and family
She cheers you up when you are down
She's always there for me

To see her on the net is fun
She gets the channel going
When lisa32's around
The channels never boring

She's fitted in and found her place
She finds it hard to leave it
For she can chat for hours and hours
She's addicted now, believe it

So if you meet her on the net
Be sure to say hello
For she is such a friendly gal
You won't want her to go

I'll take this time to let you know
It's truly been a pleasure
To meet this gal we know as Tracey
Her friendship I will treasure

The youngest in our family
The only male too
Growing up with three big sisters
What's a guy to do?

We shared a room
when we were young
We had no other choice
I'd sit up for hours at night
To listen to your voice

We had some fun
we had some laughs
But boy we had some fights
But all was calm by nighttime
When we turned out all the lights

I remember waking up one night
Terrified with fear
You sat with me to calm me down
I'm glad that you were near

It was a storm a ghastly one
It sounded really near
You taught me how to deal with it
And took away my fear

We weren't so close
when we were young
But now we both are adults
We've changed ourselves
and changed our lives
We've seen each other's faults

I still can see the little boy
that's grown into a man
I keep those thoughts
looked in my heart
And view them when I can

I'm glad to have you in my life
And there you wish to stay
I thank you dale for loving me
I love you more each day
