Policy on Triggering Content - Gift of Plurality Webring

While this ring focuses on the positive aspects of plurality, many of the people who use our webring are survivors who are sometimes triggered by explicit material. Although it is ultimately the responsibility of each visitor to monitor his or her own triggers, we believe that it is appropriate for us to maintain standards that reasonably reflect a regard for our visitors' needs.

For this reason, our webring does not accept sites containing explicit material on the site's homepage or the page on which this webring is included.

Explicit material shall be defined as:

  • S*x*ally explicit language or illustrations
  • N*dity
  • Profanity
  • Detailed descriptions or illustrations of ab*se or other v**lence
  • Detailed descriptions or illustrations of medical or psychological treatment
  • Illustrations of, or other identifying information on, specific ab*sers
  • Any mention of or illustration of RA/SRA (other than listing these terms themselves), or of terms obviously related to RA/SRA
  • Any material commonly perceived by the general public as derogatory or defamatory

We do permit any of the above types of material on pages other than the site's homepage or the page on which this webring is included, if said material meets all of the following conditions:

  1. It is directly related to the author's own experiences as a multiple/plural person (or related to the experiences of loved ones or significant others, if they are a focus of the site)
  2. It is placed on a separate page which must be accessed from a link
  3. The link to this material is marked "May Trigger" and indicates the nature of the subject matter in as safe a fashion as possible.

NO P*RN*GRAPHY OR DIRECT LINKS TO P*RN*GRAPHIC SITES WILL BE PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. Webster's II New Riverside University Dictionary defines this as: "writing [or]...the presentation of s*x*ally explicit behavior, as in a photograph, intended to ar**se s*x*al excitement." [Spoilers by Ringmaster.]

The Ringmaster also reserves the right to exclude any site focusing on the topic of Adult Babies, even if the owner or subject of the site also identifies as multiple or plural, as such a focus usually places the site outside the scope of this ring. Applicants are advised to consult RingSurf for a more appropriate ring.

Any site which does not meet the above conditions will be removed from the Gift of Plurality Webring queue (or ring, if applicable). However, if the site owner should meet the above conditions in the future, the Ringmaster will be happy to consider re-instating the site.
