26 October 1844


This indenture made and entered into this 26th day of October 1844 by and between Abner Williams and Sally his wife of the first part and William Williams of the second part all of Madison County Kentucky Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of a deed this day made by the party of the second part to the party of the first part for other lands held by them jointly and the sum of one dollar to them in hand paid have and do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever the undivided half of the following tracts of land (to wit) one tract containing seventy acres lying in the said County of Madison and on the main Clover Bottom fork waters of Rockcastle River twenty acres of which is a part of Rezin Bakers survey of one hundred and 50 acres the ballance is a survey patented in the name of John Wilson __ and one of fifty acres lying in the said County on the Middle fork of the head waters of Big Clover waters of Rockcastle River to include the improvement where Jesse Smith formerly lived __ both of which tracts were conveyed to the said parties of the first part and second part by John Hudson by deed of accord dated 7th October 1836 to which ____ is had for ____ oarticular discription also one other tract containing twenty acres patented to the said William and Abner Williams by Patent dated 26th September 1838 lying in said County on the Waters of Big Clover Creek including the homes where John Hudson formerly lived to which patents reference is also had for a more particular discription ___

To have and to hold the undivided half of the said tracts of land unto him the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever and the said parties of the first part hereby agree to warrent and forever defend the title to the undivided half of said tracts of land against the claim all persons whomever

I David Irvine clerk of the court for the county aforesaid do hereby certify that this deed from Abner Williams and Sally his wife to William Williams was produced to me in my office by the said grantors on the 26th day of October 1844 and acknowledged by Abner Williams to be his act and deed and the said Sally being examined by me separate and apart from her husband declared that she did truly and willingly by sign seal and deliver said writing and wished not to obstruct it and acknowledged said writing again shown and explained to her to be her act and deed and concented that the same might be recorded and the same has been duly recorded in my Office: ___

This Indenture made and entered into this 26th day of October 1844 between William Williams and Elizabeth his wife of the first part and Abner Williams of the second part all of Madison County Kentucky Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in concideration of the sum of one dollar in hand paid and of a deed this day made by the party of the second part to the party of the first part for certain lands held by them ____ have and do these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever all the right title and interest of the said parties of the first part in and to a certain tract or parcel of land containing fifty acres lying and being in the said county and on the waters of Big Clover creek a branch of Rockcastle River adjoining the line of Rezin Baker and being the same land conveyed to William and Abner Williams by John Hudson and wife by deed of record dated 7 October 1836 to which deed reference is made for a more particular discription:___

To have and to hold the undivided half of the said tract of land and all its appurtenences unto the said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns forever and the said parties of the first part hereby agree to warrant and defend the title of the undivided half of said tract of land against the claims of all persons whomsoever: ____

I David Irvine clerk of the court for the County aforesaid do hereby certify that this deed from William Williams and Elizabeth his wife to Abner Williams was produced to me in my office by the said grantors on the 26th October 1844 and acknowledged by William Williams to be his act and deed and the said Elizabeth being examined by me separate and apart from her husband declared that she did freely and willingly by sign and seal and deliver said writing and wished not to retract it and acknowledged said writing again ___ and explained to her to be her act and deed and concented that the same might be recorded Thereupon the said deed together with this certificate ___ said duly recorded in my office
