Martyr's Memorial Loyal Orange Lodge No. 213 is one of many Orange Lodges in existence throughout the world. We are part of the Metropolitan Province of the Grand Lodge of England. The name of our Lodge is taken from the Martyr's Memorial monument which is situated in Magdalen Street at it's junction with St. Giles in the centre of Oxford and was erected to commemorate the Oxford Martyrs: Latimer, Cranmer and Ridley who were burned at the stake for their Protestant beliefs in 1555 and 1556.

Loyal Orange Lodge No. 213 was inaugerated on May 9th 1964 and has been in existence ever since. The Lodge owes a great debt to Brother Sid Black who was secretary of the Lodge from it's inception until his death in December 1997.

Loyal Orange Lodge No. 213 has also been instrumental in setting up other Lodges in various parts of England. Early on in the life of the Lodge most of the members were either Scottish or from Northern Ireland but now the majority of members are English. We are actually quite a small Lodge with members living as far afield as Glasgow, Blackpool, Reading and Kent and but what we lack in numbers we more than make up for in enthusiasm.

Loyal Orange Lodge No. 213 meets on the third Wednesday in the month. Visitors are most welcome and are assured of a warm welcome from our Brethren.
