Wiles Of The Temptress |
by Myself |
I had a sweet wife, who loved me so much; I know I was lucky, I guess. The idyll was shattered one day, In my private office last May, When I saw the Temptress. Her eyes met mine, and without another thought It was obvious what she wanted to do on sight. She grabbed my arm, And with all her charm, Said , "Make love to me tonight!" She pressed her body close to mine, High heels, short skirt and vest Were all she wore Quite clearly, I saw As she put my hand upon her breast. She shook her red mane, while looking at me, And passionately said, "This body of mine, Curved and so fine, Will be yours to make love to in bed!" "I'm a married man" I said to her, Though I saw her figure with a glance. She replied,"Don't turn me down, You foolish clown. My men don't get a second chance!" That night I made love as never before, The best of all my life. That passion in bed Was to the woman I wed My ever loving wife. |

To Helen |
by Edgar Allan Poe |
Helen, thy beauty is to me Like those Nicean barks of yore, That gently, o'er a perfumed sea, The weary wayworn wanderer bore To his native shore. On desperate seas long wont to roam, Thy hyacinth hair, thy classic face, Thy Naiad airs have brought me home To the glory that was Greece, To the grandeur that was Rome. Lo! in yon brilliant window niche, How statue-like I see thee stand, The agate lamp within thy hand! Ah, Psyche, from the regions which Are Holy Land! |

Wild Nights |
by Emily Dickinson |
Wild nights. Wild Nights! Were I with thee, Wild nights should be Our luxury! Futile the winds To a heart in port Done with the compass Done with the chart. Rowing in Eden. Ah, the sea. Might I but moor Tonight with thee! |
