The Apple Of Temptation
by Myself
Oh, how could you be so foolish,
Throwing all you had away?
Abandoning what you held the dearest,
Letting your feelings sway.

You were so happy and contented,
Lived in an idyllic paradise.
Then you saw what may be better,
It was disaster in disguise.

You never had any worries,
Everything was at your feet.
Now cast to the world outside,
How can you make ends meet?

You thought it would be so easy,
And looked at the event with soothing calm.
Who would have thought that Temptation
Would cause such irreparable harm?

You regret the actions you took,
And ask for forgiveness with all your heart.
But the deed is done; there's no way back
And with tears you must depart.
