| Wednesday May 5th, Joe and I went to Kiwanis
District Dinner in Grand Rapids. As we exchanged ideas after dinner with the other clubs, I realized what a great club we have. Not only because we have great resources in our membership, as everybody has a different gift or talent to offer, but we are also great because of our commitment and attitude. I see a strong desire to succeed. For example, last Thursday May 2nd and Saturday May 4th our club was well represented by volunteers helping out with the March of Dimes WALK FOR LIFE. Many residents of the Ionia area saw Kiwanis "tee" shirts and hats as we moved around to help. Sometimes we see things from the inside and say we appear small in our numbers. However, to someone on the outside, we look like an army of great strength. So take a minute to pat yourself on the back for a job well done! As a member of the Grand River Valley Kiwanis Club of Ionia, I am honored to be a part of it and to be associated with such an elite group of outstanding individuals.
