About Grange Hill
24 years on , and Grange Hill is better than ever. new characters , new teachers and involving storylines have kept British viewers watching this long running childrens drama. Set in a fictional London school, Grange Hill has delt with most issues that face children as they follow the path through education. The show has led to bigger things for some characters , Tucker ( Todd Carty ) left Grange Hill and carried on in Tuckers Luck . Todd Carty is currently on our screens as Mark Fowler in Eastenders . Susan Tully starred in Grange Hill and then went on to play Michelle Fowler, Mark Fowlers sister in Eastenders. Although Michelle has left to live in America , Susan Tully has stayed on to direct some episodes of Eastenders . The show has not gone on un scathed. It has recieved numerous concerns from Teachers and parents, it has been debated in the House of Commons. But the fact remains that it does deal with strong issues, but in a way that is not out of place on childrens drama, as is always put across from the childs point of view.
