PERCEPTION:
What do
you see in the picture to the left - a young girl or an old lady?
After you decide, show it to a grownup and ask them what they see.
There are actually TWO images - a young girl AND an old lady! Now do
you see them? Grampa
saw a young girl - I saw an old lady! Did we argue about it? No,
because we knew that it was all a matter of perception.
Perception
is simple - it's the WAY you see, hear, feel or even taste things! Pretty cool, huh? Just
because I see or hear something differently than my friend does not mean that one
of us is wrong. We are just DIFFERENT.

Want to know more about New
Year's Day? Go to Wilstar.com
to learn more. Kids under 12 might want to see what Billy
Bear has to say about it. Bigger kids and grownups might also
want to go to this site by the U.S.
Embassy in Sweden for an explanation.

When I
was a child (a lo-o-o-o-n-g time ago) we didn't have computers or the internet. Shucks! We
didn't even have television, can you imagine? Some day I'll tell you
what we used to do for entertainment & maybe more stuff about
the olden days, but for right now,
let's start with places to surf the net. As I find more new places
I'll add them to this website.
