It is Easter, the most joyous of all our Christian Festivals
It starts with the saddest of days - Good Friday when we reflect on Jesus' death for us on the cross. Then Saturday- a renewing of our faith and re-baptism. Finally, Sunday,-Easter Day when Jesus rose again ,and we can greet people with "Jesus is Risen, Happy Easter"
On Easter Day our family celebrates, by coming together, and having a big dinner of roast lamb, and sharing our Easter gifts.  Early in the morning we will have an egg hunt [it is hard with the dogs]for the youngest family member. This year it will be the "littleAngel". She is too young for chocolate eggs ,so I believe the Easter Bunny is leaving something else! This year Jessika ,who has been the youngest for so long, will be helping with the hunt. I think the bunny will leave some eggs for her as well.
Easter is also a "time of quiet memories" for me, as it was the last big family celebration we had with mum before she died in 1990 ,and it was a wonderfully happy day for everyone.  It doesn't seem long ago to me. I have many lovely photo's to help me remember.
Most of these picturescame from bunny and beans Easter goodies, an activity from RAOK, if you would like to find out more about this group, explore my RAOK page.
Easter is celebrated in spring time if you live in the Northern hemisphere. Happy spring time to you
If you live below the equator like me, we are going into Autumn, and cooler days at last. So happy Autumn to every one "down under"
No matter where you are from, I wish you all a Happy and Holy Easter.
I love Wickets, so I could not resist this one for Easter.
Easter is here
Easter Day. Here is my Little Angel searching for Easter surprises. We used fluffy chicks and bright plastic eggs, because chocolate is a "no -no" at 21 months.
