This was Luci's favourite picture of her self when she was a child. Notice the bad condition of the print, that was caused by the boys at school scrunching it up and throwing it in the bin, to be funny!! She is sitting on a log in the front garden holding up her teddy to get his photo taken, what a serious little girl. |
Nine months old, she could have been a boy. In fact her sisters used to tease her by calling her Thomas. I did not know until years later. |

My number three daughter Luci was born on the 18th November 1973.She was 21 days late, and weighted 91/2 lbs.what a struggle to bring her into the world, she did not want to come!! Her birth was not easy for either of us,but she certainly was beautiful, or so we thought. Not what you would call an easy baby though. I do not think any one slept for the first six months!! |

My favourite photo's taken when Luci was two. Even though they were shot close together, the moods are very different, one serious and the other mischevious. |

When Luci started school I got a phone call from her teacher on the first day asking me to come and get her down from the top of the senior boys climbing frame. When I arrived, there she was, sitting about 15 feet up, right in the middle, so no one could reach her!!She was happy, but the school wasn't. It was suggested that gymnastics might be a good way of channeling her energy. All the big girls did gym and represented their school in open competition |
