Soon I shall be celebrating
“My Five Years Online!”

I never imagined I’d be still here
After five years on August 30, 1999.
Yet, here I sit in front of my computer,
And have learned so much in this time.


On that first day I didn’t even know
How to turn on that box before me.
I have work hard to learn everything
That goes into making web pages.


Along the way I have met
And made friends all over the world.
I never knew there was so many loving,
Kind people until I entered this world.


I’ve found in these five short years,
My life has been enriched in many ways.
This machine and the things it brings
Have given my life new purpose.


My Dear Online Friends,
Please join me in my celebration.
While I give thanks for my first five
Years online and wishes for many more.
