Little is known about Clay Columbus. Following the death of his parents, he next appears in Dallas Texas at the age of 22. He is boarding with John & Martha Meeks in Dallas. He reported that he was a house painter. He was killed in a train accident of some kind in Greenville, Hunt Co, Texas on October 14, 1914. His death certificate indicates that he was divorced. His identified profession was railroader. The certificate identifies him as "Christopher Clay Gray" born in New York. The person interviewed for the death certificate may not have been very familiar with him. He is buried alone in Oak Cliff Cemetery in Dallas, TX. Note on the map that Greenville is slightly Northwest of Dallas, TX. Tyler Texas is in close proximity and this is where Robert died. This suggests that both may have been in a common town in the 1890's or early 1900's. Ezekiel migrated to Dallas after 1910.
