JUST A MATTER OF TIME!

Let's see, as Americans we all have civil rights given to us by our
Constitution, correct? WRONG! All Americans do NOT have civil rights
given to us by our Constitution. In fact, NO Americans have civil
rights given to them by the Constitution. No whites! No blacks! No
Latinos! No Asians! Now that should get the attention of all the
liberals who see this.

To start off with, the U.S. Constitution gives no-one any rights
whatsoever. It was not designed to GIVE rights! It was designed to
GUARANTEE rights which pre-existed the Constitution. In fact, those
rights have existed since man first existed. Granted that those rights
have traditionally been trampled on by governments of every description
throughout man's history. The government, created by our Constitution
was the first to recognize that those rights existed, that man had been
endowed with them by God and that government has the RESPONSIBILITY to
protect those rights.

To go one step further, no-one, black, white, Latino, Asian, has any
"civil" rights! In fact, no-one has EVER had any civil rights. If the
first paragraph didn't get the attention of most people, those last two
sentences should, certainly, raise objections.

The problem is that the term "civil rights" is an oxymoron — a
contradiction of terms — a semantic trap. The word "civil" in this
context means that which is done, created, enacted by government. What
government can create, it can modify, increase, decrease, cancel, etc.
Hence, that which is "civil" is transitory, subject to the whims of
bureaucrats who are all too human and fallible.

By contrast, the term "right" as understood by the Founding Fathers
means that which is unchanging, eternal, inherent in each individual
from his or her birth — a gift of God! THIS is why the rights
guaranteed by the Constitution belong to everyone in the country,
citizen and alien alike. They are GOD-GIVEN!

You CANNOT have a "civil" right! If government can change something,
it is not a RIGHT but a privilege. What government gives, government
can just as easily take away.

One of the big problems facing society today is the proliferation of
so-called rights. The "right" to universal medical care, the "right" to
a good education, the "right" to freedom from want, the "right" to a
clean environment, the "right" to have your disabilities catered to.

These are some of the NEW "rights" which have been created by
government. There is, however, a vital difference between these new
rights which have been sold to the people and those with which they were
endowed at birth.

The new rights come with a cost - a price which must be paid! Note
that the natural God-given rights cost no-one anything. No-one else has
to provide YOUR right to freedom of speech, assembly, religion. No-one
else must contribute to YOUR right to keep and bear arms, to be free
from unreasonable search or seizure, to your right against
self-incrimination. The NEW "rights," which he hear about from
bureaucrats and liberals, DO FORCE other people, or society as a whole,
to contribute in one or more ways to the provision of that "right."

These new "rights" are based on the assumption that while property,
real, personal or intellectual, is privately owned, it should be subject
to government control! Few Americans realize that this is virtually the
classic definition of FASCISM, that is, government control of private
property. In the name of environmentalism, private property is either
taken or controlled by government. In the name of "Americans with
Disabilities" private property is controlled by government. In the name
of "rent control", private property is controlled by government. The
list goes on and on.

The problem is even deeper than that. These "rights" are also being
used to take away YOUR right to freedom of speech, your right to due
process of law, even in the name of zoning, your right to freedom of
assembly. Again, the list goes on and on. NOTE ALSO that these new
":rights" do NOT apply equally to all citizens but, generally, apply
only to some special segment of society at the expense of the whole
society. Hardly an example of fairness or equity!

Government has even created criminal punishment for non-criminal acts —
administrative crimes. If you fill out some government form incorrectly
or too late you may be subject to criminal penalties.

Note, ALL of these actions on the part of government are LEGAL which
simply means that they have been done by government. Being legal does
not however mean that they are Constitutional! Most of our politicians
and bureaucrats pay little or no attention to whether a particular law
or edict has any basis in the Constitution. The main criteria used is:
"Will it get me votes for reelection?"

The Constitution was NOT written and adopted to govern PEOPLE. The
Constitution is the law of GOVERNMENT! It is up to the people to
enforce that law! It is the responsibility of the population to always
question government actions. When a politician or a bureaucrat tells
you something, either directly or through the media, you should always
ask yourself THIS question: If I believe what this politician tells me,
HOW will it benefit HIM or HER?
