| What is a Turtle? A Turtle is a high minded individual, who refuses to allow his or her mind to dwell in the gutter no matter the situation. Turtles are pure in mind and heart. Turtles may be slow but they are loyal, strong, and wise. they will stick their necks out to help a fellow Turtle in need. Is this a real Organization? It certainly is. There are millions of Turtles around the world. The origin began something like this....... Some American Fighter Pilots were relaxing in an English Pub during World War II when they, somehow, got onto the subject of "Turtles". They described a person who was clean minded, usually minded their own business, but when the need arose, would stick their neck out for themselves and other people in need had the attributes of a Turtle. That's how the International Association of Turtles began. Sounds crazy unless you have been around drinking pilots. Can anyone become a Turtle? Yes! Anyone with $5.00 and the answers to 4 riddles can be a Turtle for life. You will get an official Turtle membership card that you can proudly display and be given the password. What do the Turtles do? Turtles go around initiating other people into th International Order of Turtles, and asking other people if they know the password. That's pretty much it. What if I forget the password after I become a Turtle? You will be buying a lot of drinks for other Turtles. When one Turtle asks another Turtle the "Secret" question, the Turtle being asked must reply with the password. If the Turtle being asked for the password, replies with anything other than the password, he/she must buy the Turtle asking the "Secret" question a drink of their choice. |
