More Than Conspiracy, It’s Compulsion
By Stephen Gray

The uproar could be heard all over the country -- an M.P. had said there was a homosexual conspiracy. The radio and T.V. stations blared the news. The mainstream newspapers went into national emergency mode and the politicians went into damage control. Except for one politician who was seen smirking on T.V as if he had swallowed an aphrodisiac. The country had a major crisis on its hands. That "nice," "pleasant," and "healthy" homosexual lifestyle was once again being attacked by a "bigot." One editorial even said what was happening was "Beyond the pale" (National Post, Nov. 18, 2003).

But not to worry, the "word soldiers" in the media - defenders of the gay lifestyle - went on the attack. They launched their deadly weaponry of words upon this M.P. - and there were many in their arsenal: "bile" "crackpot" "bigot" "lunatic" "odious" "neanderthal" this was an unfriendly fire of epithets that had everyone running for cover. No prisoners were taken and the battle was won. Press conferences were arranged to confirm the political surrender and the M.P. was forced to grovel and eat his words about the conspiracy.

It’s more than a conspiracy what is happening. The gay agenda has been financed and supported for years with taxpayers dollars and compulsory union dues. In fact, the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) is on record as saying "the Canadian Union of Public Employees leads the labour movement in its support of lesbian and gay issues." ( CUPE Quarterly, October 1992 issue) Other government unions are big supporters of gay rights as is the Canadian Labour Congress(CLC) and many other unions. Large amounts of money from compulsory union dues have been spent by unions on court cases about gay rights. The CLC was an intervenor in the Vriend Case. The Canadian Auto Workers(CAW) involved itself in The Marc Hall case. Mr. Hall wanted to take his same-sex partner to the Catholic School Prom. CAW union boss Buzz Hargrove issued a press release on Mr. Hall’s behalf, saying: " We have pushed employers, legislators and courts in our demand for equality." He goes on to say people saw "the CAW as a progressive force for social change." Isn’t it a great system, this compulsory union dues business? And you people out there thought unions were only certified for collective bargaining. Trade unions are also tax free institutions so we are getting banged with our own bucks to pay for their agendas. Of course the rank and file union member was not polled on this. But why should they be? The union bosses know best.

But hey, one must not pick on unions alone; there is a multitude of special interest groups out there, supporting the gay and other agendas, with other peoples money. One of these groups is The Women’s Legal, Education and Action Fund (LEAF). Leaf has received large amounts of money from unions and also gets government grants. In fact, LEAF’s newsletter, Spring 1996 issue, stated that the Federation of Women’s Teachers’ Associations of Ontario had contributed over $100,000 to LEAF. Other unions with big donations to LEAF were the United Steelworkers of America, the CLC, CUPE, CAW, OFL, OPSEU and the list goes on. Government Grants to LEAF were $606,490. You see, you can get all kinds of "grants" and union money if you are politically correct. After all, "equality" must be funded by compulsion and taxpayers dollars. I could go on and on listing the cross connections and coalitions between special interest groups and unions. It is huge. But hey, what we have here is more than a conspiracy. What we have is compulsion. And the captives are union members and taxpayers.

Now let us look at the role of the judges in all this. It was a Supreme Court Judge who made union dues compulsory and one might honestly say he was the one who "legitimized" compulsion. Now, there is no holding back the imaginations of the judicial brain. A judge has also,"read in" words that are not written in the Constitution. One could call this "imaginative justice." But hey, what’s a Constitution, when there is a gay lifestyle to be imposed. But at least these judges are happy fellows. Some of them could be seen partying with gay rights activists. All with their arms around one another. One of the judges pictured was the judge who wrote "the majority decision in support of same-sex marriage" (Reality, page 9, July/August 2003). And of course it was judges who dictated to the government that it had 24 months to change the "legal definition of marriage." But one must not let the judiciary get all the credit; this is a "fair" and "equitable" society and surely there is enough compliments to go around.

Honourable mention must go to the politically appointed, politically correct Human Rights Commissions. Of course they are paid by the taxpayers, but have played their part on forcing this lifestyle on the public. I must say, however, that I find it strange that the media have never really done an expose of all the groups - working in tandem - using other peoples money to advance the gay agenda.

A journalist though, did say this about homosexuality,

"The radical right refuses to give up the argument that homosexuality is somehow inherently immoral or depraved - or that we should never change the definition of marriage out of respect for tradition....Anal sex is a risky act for a variety of medical reasons.... Given the spread of AIDS, it also endangers human life." Jonathan Kay in a speech to National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association (NLGA) Canada, Toronto June 1, 2001.

Note: Mr. Kay is editorial writer at the National Post.

NLGJA Canada describes itself thus: "We are a group of professional queer journalists. writers and media professionals..." There are "queer journalists" at CBC TV and Radio Canada, The Toronto Sun, Macleans, Chatelaine,CTV and other media. But they of course would never spread "hate" or "bigotry"or be "intolerant."

But then who am I to comment on the media? I am not a journalist. Better for a journalist to give them praise. Veteran journalist George Bain, writing in his book Gotcha! How the Media Distort the News, had this to say: "the purpose of investigative reporting has become less to find out than to denounce." On page 108 he goes on to speak of "...the unholy accord between media and interest groups." And on page116, Mr. Bain writes of "...the creation of sacred subjects that may not be touched except with reverence..." I am sure the MP who spoke of a conspiracy now realises he criticized a "sacred subject." That’s probably why the media went bananas. Oh, I forgot to mention most of the media are in trade unions as well. So, I’m sure they all know the words of "Solidarity Forever."

One therefore should not be surprised to see the solidarity of the media and the politicians, when taking this M.P to task for daring to say it was a conspiracy. After all, the politicians have allowed this system of compulsion and the media have been silent partners.
