Over the last number of years many people have become infected with a disease called Gritaholism.
The carriers of Gritaholism are known as Gritaholics. This disease creeps into the minds and hearts of many people making them incapable of rational and normal thought.
Symptoms:
Gritaholics refuses to recognize they are Gritaholics
Gritaholics go into denial when shown evidence of their Gritaholism
Gritaholics will recklessly spend other peoples’ money with abandon
Gritaholics when questioned about this spending, use the excuse they cannot remember or didn’t know.
Gritaholics are devious, despicable and deluded.
Gritaholics are protected by other Gritaholics.
Gritaholics support corruption.
Gritaholics suppress free speech.
Gritaholics will lie under the influence of Gritaholism.
Gritaholics will accept being robbed by other Gritaholics in positions of power.
Gritaholics in positions of power have no qualms about ripping off taxpayers.
Gritaholics will use bribery to attain their ends.
Gritaholics have no scruples.
Gritaholics are ethically challenged.
Gritaholics use taxpayers money to pay for their meals.
Gritaholics have no shame.
Gritaholics have no principles.
Gritaholics abuse the public trust.
Gritaholics are intoxicated by power.
Gritaholics in positions of power have imposed their deviations onto society at large.
Gritaholics do not know the difference between what is right and what is wrong.
Gritaholics accuse decent people of having “hidden agendas” when it is they themselves that are “scary,” “sick,” and “dishonest.”
Gritaholics rationalize their own behaviour as impeccable and above reproach.
Many Gritaholics are in politics.
Many Gritaholics are appointed to the bench by political Gritaholics.
Many Gritaholics are in the media.
Many Gritaholics are in patronage positions.
Many Gritaholics get money from other Gritaholics, then they kick back some of this money to the politics of Gritaholism.
Many Gritaholics reside in eastern Looney Land, though there are some in other parts of the land.
Many Gritaholics are in positions of power and have subverted and corrupted the law.
Summary and Solutions:
Gritaholism is an addiction and a disease that destroys a decent society. Its costs are enormous, socially, politically and morally. The only cure is to remove those infected from positions of power and put them into quarantine. Some may even have to be charged with knowingly spreading Gritaholism. Counseling must also be made available for those in the general population suffering from the contamination of Gritaholism so that they can be treated for their affliction. This crisis of Gritaholism and Gritaholics must be treated as a national emergency otherwise the long term health of the country will continue to deteriorate, resulting in social and moral collapse.
