The Dogs in the Big Kennel
By Stephen Gray

In the Big Kennel where all the dogs gather
They growl and bark and have a blether
Doggy talk is cheap in the Big Kennel on the Hill
And their howling can be heard till they all get their
fill

There are dogs of all political breeds
And the Big Kennel fulfils all their doggy needs
They fight and argue over bones of contention
For in doggy politics, truth is an invention

They lie and pretend poop never happens
For in a dog’s world there’s nothing to crap in
They just leave their doggy doo for the people to
clean up
Because these dogs are not able and neither are their
pups

If you hear them howling across the land
Just remember the Big Kennel has a large band
When they all bark in unison you know they agree
Because they all have bones that the people provide
free

These dogs are the most privileged you have ever seen
Some act like kings and there are even a few queens
The Big Kennel is home to all these dogs
Big ones and small ones and some the size of frogs

Size doesn’t matter to this canine band
Because equality rules in Doggy Land
So if you see a dog up on its hind legs barking
You’ll know it’s from the Big Kennel and it’s a dog
talking
