#6 Letter from Loonie Land

by Stephen Gray

Dear All,

The Libloonies still have supporters. A convicted serial killer told a newspaper columnist that he was a supporter of The Little Guy’s party and said: "Once a Liberal, always a Liberal; I’ll never abandon the boat." A lot of people would like to see this child killer thrown overboard, preferably in shark infested waters.

This killer went on to say: "No matter what we’re in prison for, we’re all citizens and should have the right to vote."

Criminals will be allowed to vote in the next election courtesy of Loonie Land’s crackpot judiciary and the Libloonies perverse: "Charter of Rights and Freedoms."

I think somebody once said: Oh to be rid of those accursed lawyers. What they should have said was: Oh to be rid of those accursed judges who used to be lawyers, and the politicians who appoint them.

Another Loonie Land judge, according to media reports, "has approved a ... class action suit on behalf of self styled homosexual "widows." They claim that the Loonie Land government "owes them $400 million in" pension benefits "retroactive" to 1985. They will probably get it, as Loonie Land is a caring and just society.

Meanwhile a veteran who was a prisoner of war was awarded only half his pension supplement and he only got that after a fight.

In other news, the armed forces are short of funding; an army officer is quoted in the media as saying "We are a military force that’s going down the toilet quickly, because of funding problems..." The Libloonies squander one billion dollars on gun registry yet deprive the armed forces of the "most basic personal gear." Hey, this is Loonie Land where incompetence is an art form.

Our so called Justice Minister who has admitted to smoking marijuana in his past, is quoted as saying in a newspaper article: "Yes, of course I tried it before, obviously. My own experience can’t tell you if it’s harmful or not." He said the government will decriminalize marijuana in 2003 if a government committee recommends it. He also said in this article: "keeping it criminal, it’s not very efficient." Is this what happens when a politician has smoked dope? Does it confuse his thought processes? Is there something wrong with this picture-the government puts warning signs on cigarette packets about the dangers of smoking and now it is going to approve another health danger?

What with "free needles," "safe injection sites" and "decriminalizing marijuana" the country is becoming a paradise for junkies, dopeheads and mainliners. But this is Loonie Land: home of the dopey politicians and "safe houses" to shoot up in.

A phone-in caller to a radio talk show on drugs asked: Why couldn’t the authorities take these drug addicts off the streets and treat them in an empty mental hospital? The talk show host who sounds like he is of Libloonie bent said that would be against the druggies’, "Charter Rights" to put them in compulsory treatment. He seems to forget union dues are compulsory so where are union members’ "Charter Rights?"

Obviously drug addicts have more "rights" than union members in Loonie Land. An M.P. from the Loony Left party also found the caller’s suggestion "archaic." This is the kind of comment one would expect from an M.P. from a party which is known for its political nonsense.

There was much wailing and weeping in the asylum on the Hill recently. It seems the "moron" lady stepped down from her position. It was reported in a newspaper story about "a stream of flowers being delivered amid phone calls from weeping co-workers, sympathetic MP’s and distraught Cabinet ministers..." Can you imagine the noise in Loonie Land’s capital if the day ever comes and this huge bureaucracy is fired? They will need to bring in counsellors from all over the world to hold the hands of these political dingbats. It is the people of Loonie Land who should be weeping over what has happened to their country.

I heard the animal control people showed up on Parliament Hill -- it seems somebody reported a huge bunch of sheep making noises. It turned out it was the Libloonies passing the Kyoto Accord. The Little Guy was quoted as saying: "It’s a great day today. I’m passing Kyoto." Is that an admission or an emission? A lot of people wish these political animals would control their own emissions for every time they open their mouths the country suffers.

Some people think things will be different when the Libloonies get a new leader; they must be dreaming. The candidates for the Libloonie leadership are the same ones who voted for the garbage that has turned Loonie Land into a political looney house. These people are the same ones who have defended The Little Guy and all the financial scandals in Loonie Land. If they had any decency, morality, honour and sanity they would resign and apologize to the people of Loonie Land. But that won’t happen, these politicians are addicted to power just like drug addicts are addicted to drugs. It is not "safe houses" that are needed but safety for the people of Loonie Land from politically addicted politicians and their judicial handmaidens.

Anyway have a nice day and have a wonderful "holiday season" with your "holiday tree" in the "Common era" 2002. Whatever you do don’t say Merry Christmas or you could be reported to the "human rights" commission and sentenced to "sensitivity" training for offensive remarks, because this is Loonie Land.
