#8 Letter from Loonie Land By Stephen Gray Dear All, Hello again from Loonie Land, where the circus operates around the clock and the clowns perform 24 hours a day. I see some people benefited from the gun registry billion dollar money pit. A report on Loonie Land T.V. said bonuses were awarded in that department and another news outlet said some people even got promoted. There must have been a contest to see who could squander the most money. I thought bonuses were only awarded for winning, then I remembered this is Loonie Land. The Little Guy is going on a world tour this year. It seems it is going to be a farewell visit to some of those countries he has visited over the years. Who is paying for his farewell tour, you might ask? We are of course. It is called billing the unwilling. This is our present to him for all those years of government legislation involving taxation, corruption, the Charter of Rights (which he helped to bring in -he was Justice Minister at the time), the GST, the Gun Registry, lax Child Pornography laws and Judicial Appointments that have made the phrase "contempt of court" into contempt for the courts. Still to come are Marijuana laws and Same Sex Marriage, not forgetting Hate Crimes Bill C-250. You soon realise his legacy--and that of others before him--will continue to haunt us for years to come. Did I hear someone sing: Take these chains from my country and set us free? I am only joking. There are no chains around here; after all, we have a "Charter of Rights and Freedoms." I guess one should stop being cynical and negative; after all, The Little Guy is going to visit old friends. Some of them could be called dictators, and what could be nicer than that? He’ll also get a chance to partake of their hospitality and just think: we the taxpayers of Loonie Land also possibly gave some of these countries "grants." It is a win- win situation for us, don’t you think? We pay to send him and we pay some dictators for receiving him. A Loonie Land politician was quoted as saying that our good neighbours were: "looney tunes and out of control." I think he was looking in the mirror when he said it and was talking to himself, thinking about his Loonie Land political buddies. There was a report in a national newspaper that one of Loonie Land’s "peace loving" religions has apologized to its ‘Christian neighbours’ for a "Christmas Day message that said wishing someone Merry Christmas is comparable to congratulating them for committing murder or engaging in adultery." Christians, according to the latest Loonie Land census, are the majority religion and are over 80% in the census. A minority criticizes a religious majority and no "hate crime" charges are laid and nobody is sent for desensitization courses. Why should they? This is Loonie Land where the majority are subjected to the tyranny of the minority. In other news, a national newspaper had a headline, "Baby-eating spectacle disgusts U.K. viewers." The article said, "British television viewers were horrified" by a documentary showing an "artist eating a stillborn baby." He calls his art "Eating People." This would never happen in Loonie Land. We won’t even show the carving up of a baby, or it being poisoned by a saline solution, during an abortion. We are more civilized; we would never call it "art." Instead we call our atrocity "choice." But hey, I digress, The Little Guy says we have "social peace" on abortion. I see the Kyoto Discord... oops, I mean Accord, is not binding on all in Loonie Land. If you are a favoured group, friend and contributor to the Libloonies you can find yourself exempted. And what is the matter with that? It could be called favoured status, or protection for ensuring re-election. One newspaper headline said it was a ‘sweetheart’ deal. A newspaper article had the headline Loonie Land "is on the edge of history." I don’t think that is quite accurate; I would say Loonie Land has gone over "the edge." What do you think? Things are getting tough in Loonie Land jails a newspaper said: " Prison inmates face having their golf privileges revoked at a [Loonie Land] jail to allow members of the public to play the course." If that is not a case of discrimination I don’t know what is!!! Where are the "human rights" commissions? Have they been informed of this? I see Loonie Land continues to live up to its name. An editorial in a national newspaper said in 2001 that Loonie Land "issued special immigration permits to 11 suspected terrorists... Another 600 convicted murderers, rapists and armed robbers received the same political wave-through." Doesn’t it make you feel good to know that these people are here? Some of them could even be your neighbours. Perhaps you could have them in for tea. Maybe some of them could even babysit your children. Talking about children, have you started reading those books to your children on multiple Mummies and Daddies? A homosexual teacher is "thrilled" about the books. You haven’t read them!!! Why not? Loonie Land’s judges said they could be read to your children in school so perhaps this could be home work for the parents. The kids might get a test paper on the books so this would ensure they would get a pass on the "subject." A headline in a paper in the western part of Loonie Land said: safe "injection site should be for locals only...." This looks like a blatant case of discrimination and a violation of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Is this a form of junkie apartheid? People are being denied the equality of equal access to an illegal fix. That is a real dopey solution- denying equal access, isn’t it? Loonie Land has become a dope promoting, pervert protecting, criminal accepting, political and judicial madhouse. Anyway I must close for now. If you meet any of those 600 criminals I mentioned earlier in my letter reach out to them and welcome them to Loonie Land, then they will know we are a caring, tolerant and just society. Have a nice day, and don’t forget to vote when the time comes. Remember the words of The Little Guy; on voting he says: "You don’t want to vote [for] a pussycat." I only hope he hasn’t upset the Animal Rights people with that offensive remark because this is Loonie Land.
