The P.M.L (Political Malfeasance Land): An imaginary radio address

By Stephen Gray

Hello there --greetings from Political Malfeasance Land.

You’ve probably been reading and hearing about some of the Judge’s report coming down on Tuesday.

It’s about political malfeasance, corruption and missing taxpayers money.

It’s also about “fairness.” Many of you know; I knew nothing about anything, or anything about everything, regarding these political happenings.

Yes, I know there are some who say I was Finance Minister when all this money went missing. But, how could I know?

Still, I promised to get to the bottom of it all, even though the bottom has not yet been reached.

This corruption, according to our political enemies, has reached epidemic proportions. This statement is outrageous. People die in epidemics. Nobody has died because a few millions might have been stolen!

People should discuss the business about so-called missing money, “respectfully.” After all, nobody likes being held accountable when there is no accountability. Does that make sense?

Anyway, I’m sure many of you, out there in radio land, listening to me, will continue to give me and my party your confidence. After all, who are better than us to look after the peoples’ interests and their money?

We depend upon their support and blind faith in us. So I ask you all, turn a blind eye to all that is reported to have happened. Remember out of evil comes more evil, oops, I mean good. Time will tell who was to blame and by that time none of us will be around to take the blame. The official secrets act and privacy acts are a wonderful pieces of legislation that ensure the “integrity” of all governments.

I only have two minutes of air time to speak to you all. So my time is up for this week. Just let me say in closing to the cynical people who say: “We should be doing time.” The party is taking notes on all you people and we will punish you all at the appropriate time.

Relationships only work when everybody is on OUR side.

To our faithful party listeners, thank you till next time, when once again I will take to the airwaves to inform and educate you all in Political Malfeasance Land (PML).
