The Visitor's Center at the Newt Graham Lock & Dam. There are parking for about 30 cars and five picnic tables, but I think we broke cobwebs when we opened the door. |

About a mile north of the Newt Graham Lock we came to the umpteenth mud puddle, but this one was too wide and too long to pass on a bike towing a child trailer and the vegetation was too thick to go around. | |||||||||||||||||||||||

This is our preferred means of family travel: five wheels, four axels and three kids behind dad. It's a crying shame that the Chouteau Trail is not in shape for families to really enjoy it -- all of it, not just a mile or two at a time. |
