11:50 AM: Just got in the train in Edison to head into the city for the Big East Tournament. Should be interesting. The first game is West Virginia-Providence at 2. Then Seton Hall-Georgetown at 7 and Notre Dame and Rutgers at 9. I'm not too particularly pumped about any of the three games, but the tickets were $10 per session, so no big deal. Hooray college basketball.
2:45 PM: Worst game ever. WV is up 15 at the half and Gomes has caught a nasty case of suck-itis. At least there are cheerleaders to entertain me.
4:30 PM: Currently at the McDonald's across from the Garden. Tom and I are recovering from the crapfest that was West Virginia-Providence. WV beat them by about 25 or so, I didn't really attention to the final score as much as I did when the game would end. Was kind of neat to see Ryan Gomes' last college game, I wonder if he'll be drafted, and if so, by whom. Anyway, one game down, two to go. Yay.
7:45 PM: OK, so this game, while not spectacular by any means, is much better than the first. Seton Hall, the 10 seed, is leading 7th seeded Georgetown by 1 at the half, 28-27. Pretty decent so far, I'll be interested to see how it turns out.
9:45 PM: Very tired at this point, but I suppose I can stay awake while sitting 10th row for ND-Rutgers. Georgetown made a big comeback in the 2nd half and beat Seton Hall by 5. Pretty good game, as is this one so far.
Day After: Was way too tired to even think about writing in my journal after the game last night, I didn't even get home until around 1:30 AM. Rutgers actually managed to pull off the upset and beat Notre Dame, 72-65. The last time I was at the Big East Tournament, 2003, Notre Dame was ranked no. 19 and got beat then too, that time by St. John's. Perhaps I'm bad luck for Notre Dame, who knows. This will likely be my last college action of the year, unless I decide to go to the NIT later this month.
