Mike Ashmore's Great American Sports Tour
Tour Stop #PHIDOUBLE
12:00 p.m.
6:05 p.m.
11:25 AM - I'm sitting in the Soul press box, up on the suite level, fresh off of packing down a roast beef sandwich and Sierra Mist.  Making them taste better is the fact that they're all free.  This will be my first AFL game, and the first of two games I'm covering today.  This should be tiring, but fun.

3:25 PM - Very good game, I was almost surprised.  The Soul won 69-63, Graziani threw 8 TD's.  Later on, I'll recap my stuff that I did, right now it's Phantoms.

7:45 PM - OK, so it's second intermission at the Phantoms game, and they're giving the Pirates a thorough 4-0 reaming.  The Soul game was a lot of fun.  I got there at about 10:45 and managed to find my way up to the press box.  An abundance of food, media guides and other stuff awaited.  It should also be noted that I was like 10,000 feet above ground.  After the game, I went on the field and talked to Tony Graziani, Marcus Knight and the head coach.  Pretty bad format for what I do, pretty cool too though.  Almost done with the double, one more period to go!

11:00 PM - It's around 11, I'm sitting at home and I'm absolutely out of gas.  I'm exhausted from covering two games in one day, although it was very fun.  The Phantoms won, 5-0, and Neil Little got the shutout.  After the game, I talked to Little, Antero Niittymaki and Eric Meloche.  I'm almost done with getting everyone I want from Philly, I just need John Slaney and a handful of others.  Fun trip, but let me rest!
My view of the Soul game from the press box of the Wachovia Center.
A trip to the lower level yielded this shot.
And, a look from my spot in the Spectrum's press box.
