Once upon a time, there was a little girl.
Everyday she came home from the third grade on the school bus.
She always set in a group of friends,
one in particular was named Lucas.
Lucas had a little brother,(Sammy),
who wanted very much to be included in on this little clique.
He would constantly pester his older brother
and his older brother's friends.

A few years later the girl had to move away.
She grew up far to quickly, and eventually
married a man that gave her two beautiful sons
and a baby girl. Unfortuanately,
the marriage was not what she had thought it would be.
Instead she decided to leave to protect herself and her children.

Eventually, she met another man that she loved very much.
This man was more mature and treated
her very well. So again she married.
This was a good match for over 5 years.
Then as suddenly as it had started
it was over. Her husband had left her
and the three children alone again.

Now keep in mind that the girl had some
very close friends that were there to comfort her
during this horrible time in her life.
One of the closest was a man named James.
For several months these two friends talked
and became very close. For awhile the girl thought that
she might have overlooked what could be a loving
relationship with this man. She understandably, however,
was very down on men and relationships at this time.
Through this wonderful friend, the girl was introduced
to anther man, a man named Sam. At first glance,
Sam was the epitomy of a uncaring, self-centered,
egotistical, unresponsible womanizer. Still he was James's
friend so they did meet and talk frequently.

Soon they realized that this was indeed the little pest "Sammy"
from so long ago. After many episodes of talking
all night and sharing so many secrets, memories, and feelings,
they decided to take their friendship to a new level.
Although both agreed that things should go slowly at first,
the match was so natural and fulfilling that they soon found
themselves talking of a long life together. As the girl sat
and cried on the date of her anniversary, Sam held her.
For some time he had known that he wanted this woman
and these children in his life forever.
So, shaking and crying with her he proposed.

Looking down at Sam on one knee,
she told him that he should already know the answer. Sam insisted
that he hear her say it. Scared to death, eccstatic
and depressed at the same time, I said yes...
