The 18 miler was a great success! I had an excellent run! Finished in 3:25, too.
It was a hot day. The sun was beating down on us, but we hydrated all morning long and made it back fresh as daisies. Well, not really. We sure didn't smell fresh as daisies.
Pete and Kayla came out to pour water and encourage us along the way. Kayla loves to lick all the sweat off the runners' legs as they go by her. She's become the unoffical marathon dog!
And now for more good news!
I am only $500 short of my fundraising goal! And it's because of all of you! I want to say a tremendous thanks to each and every one of you for your support and generosity. My fundraising deadline has been extended until November 1st -- so anyone who may have missed the first one -- there's still time.
This weekend is just a short run -- 9 miles. I'll be back home by 10 a.m.!
