Our leader moved at the beginning of the summer and we decided that helping her during the move we could possibly work on this IPP!! We had a sleepover at her house the first night she was in her home!!!

Skill Builder

SB #1: We unpacked some of our leader's figurines and nicknacks and arranged them throughout the house for her in a builtin wall shelf unit, in her hanging display case, and on her furniture in the living room. She liked it so well, it's still the same!

SB #2: One of the girls, painted her room-yellow walls and blue ceiling!!! She plans to do a mural on her wall and stars and moon on her ceiling.

SB #3: One of the girls is creating a "gallery" of family photos and memorabilia to put in their hallway.

SB #5: We learned how to connect a VCR to a television, a television to a stereo system, and a light to a timer. We were on our honor to teach another family member how to do these things.

Technology

T #4: Put together a home repair tool kit for basic repairs. Demonstrated at least 5 of the items chosen for the took kit--claw hammer, flathead screwdriver, Phillip's screwdriver, pliers, wrenches, level, and staple gun.

T #5: Learned about 3 safety features: deadbolt locks, fire/smoke alarms, sprinkler system in apartments, and buglery alarm systems. Shared about how to maintain them as well as how they work.

Service Projects

SP #3: We are to help build a Habitat for Humanity house in mid-October.

Career Exploration

CE #4: We designed our "dream" room (bedrooms).
