Tillie the Sea Turtle

Hi! I'm Tillie, I'm a Sea Turtle from Florida!!!

I am one of the troop mascots for Troop 446! I have already been on some adventures with my troop and in my travels.

I went to WAGGGS-L camp in New York with Rae and Heather Haynes and met up with my troop's leader and daughter. I had so much fun meeting all those leaders! We even sailed around the Thousand Islands!! We had a Mascot party there too!!! You can see my picture with all the other mascots on Mark Harris' website along with other pictures from WAGGGS camp.

On one adventure was the trip to England last summer. We visit Belvior Castle and watched the jousting!!! Sir Richard won!!! He was not only the best, he was the cutest too, and the GOOD guy!!! We met the Mayor of Loughborough (where our host troop lives) and she had a reception in our honor! We camped at Gilwell Park outside of London, built by Lord Baden-Powell for scouts and guides. While camping there, we traveled into London to see the sites. We were inside Buckingham Palace for the changing of the guards, went to the Guide Headquarters, Baden-Powell House, and Pax Lodge (one of the Girl Guide/Girl Scouts world centers). We also toured the Houses of Parlament and met the Member of Parlament of our host troop. We walked along the Thames River, actually they walked I swam!!!
I also went to Sherwood '98 while in England. There were 7200 scouts from all around the world camping there for 8 days! I met scouts from Malaysia and Nigeria as well as other countries. We even got to participate in the flag ceremony at the camp. After the closing ceremony, Ms. Donna got interviewed and videoed for a Russian tv program!
After returning to the troop's home in Loughborough, we were all invested into their troop, so we're honorary members! Guess that makes me an English Sea Turtle too!!

I am going to get to go to National Convention, isn't that cool! I traveled to England last year; here's some of the places I went:

1st Saltash Guides and Saltash Rangers Cornwall, UK
1st Milton Brownies - Cambridge
Maghull UK
1st. Faversham, (St.Catherine's ) Guides

Since my troop lost their other mascot, Millie the Manatee, they've decided not to send me out traveling. I'll miss meeting other troops, it was fun traveling around and learning and doing new things.
