I really do not know a lot about these two surnames in my family,they are both on my mothers side of my family.My mother died when I was 17 years old and I don't remember her ever talking about her family much.My mother was born in New Boston,
Michigan and she married my father in Saline,Michigan but somehow they wound up in Texas before I was born.When my mother died I don't recall any personal papers with any info on her family being found,the only thing I can remember my mother ever talking about is going to school in Ypsilanti,Michigan.I am researching this family but I'm not making much headway so I will put down what info I do know and hopefully I'll be able to add to it at a later date.The info on my mothers birth and marraige came from our family Bible and I'm hoping that it is correct.

The spelling of Shoemaker could possibly be different I am not sure of this
The only other info I have on Blanche is that her mothers name could have been
Lillian Shoemaker
I am not even sure of this info as I recieved some info from a person who has
researched the Morford name and has a Lillian S. Morford as living with Frederick T.
and Blanche Morford in 1939 in Ypsilanti,Michigan.I'm going to write to the clerk in
Michigan and try to get a birth certificate on my mother maybe that will be of some help

This side of my family seems to be a big mystery to me,I sometimes wonder how a
person moves from a place they were born to a totally different place where they do not have any relatives or friends(as far as I know my parents didn't know anyone in Texas
when they came here).Were they running away from something or towards a better
life?As both of my parents died when I was very young I guess I'll play detective
and try to unravel this mystery,always did like a good mystery!
