Dear Mary Jane, |
November 24, 2001 I was working on an assignment today for my Humanities class. We had to write about the certain things we do because it's just the way things are/the way we've allways done them/because someone we've admired has told us to or inspired us to do. I thought this was going to be so simple. And then I got to thinking about it. God. What do I do? I have been changing my ways constantly when i think about it. There isn't much I keep doing because it's just how things go. I dress "differently" because I feel more comfortable that way. My life entire is aclectic. So the close and what I have in my room and my attitude make sense. I love every new thing I experience. Even my car wrecks. But what have I always done? I've always lived up to my rules for myself. Why I've done this...maybe because my mother taught me to be responsible. Because my brothers told me what not to do because of their experience. Because my sister got pregnant at 19. And maybe being in those gifted programs early on in my life showed me how many other things there are to do. |
