Marie Kerpan is the founder of Green Careers, the first career consulting practice supporting the transition to careers that promote ecological, social and economic sustainability. In addition to working with individuals and groups in her practice, she has designed, produced and delivered green careers programming for the Bioneers Conference, the San Francisco Green Festival and The Solar Living Institute. Most recently, Marie has joined the faculty of the Green MBA at Dominican University in San Rafael, CA.

A leader in the sustainability movement for the past 8 years, Marie was the first Director of Sustainable Marin, providing sustainability education and advocacy in Marin County. She is also one of the co-founders of Sustainable Mill Valley, working to shape sustainable public policy in her home town.

Formerly a Vice President and Senior Consultant for 5 years with Drake Beam Morin, the industry leader in career transition consulting, Marie's professional background also includes 10 years on Wall St. in a variety of executive line and staff positions including operations management, strategic planning, training and development, and product management.

Marie is the author of "Balance: The Ultimate Challenge of the 21st Century" published by Berrett-Koehler in a collection of essays entitled When the Canary Stops Singing: Women's Perspectives on Transforming Business.

The 2008 Green Festival Reader: Fresh Ideas From Agents Of Change, features Marie's chapter entitled, "Green Careers: The New Frontier".
