BLOODY MARY
Contributed by my brother Harry
This concoction is a pure work of genius. Not to blow too much smoke up my baby brother's flue, but I've never had a better Bloody Mary anywhere, and I'm glad he contributed the recipe. I've downed more than my share of them on Christmas Eve at our mother's house. I'll be remembered someday for my poetry, my webpages, and the children I had the audacity to bring into this world. He'll be remembered for this.
INGREDIENTS
One shot of vodka (Harry swears by Smirnoff or Absolut - he would.)
One small can of Spicy-Hot V-8 (regular V-8 can be substituted for those wusses with delicate constitutions)
A dash of salt
A dash of pepper
A dash of garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon of lemon juice
1/8 teaspoon of Worcestershire Sauce
1/8 teaspoon of prepared horseradish
DIRECTIONS
Put all ingredients into a mixing cup over ice. Shake vigorously. Strain contents over ice. Add a celery stalk and enjoy. Durkee's Red Hot or any other hot sauce may also be added to accommodate your tastes, if you like your drink a little hotter.
