Thomas A. Green Sr. 


ALBANY Thomas A. Green Sr., 81, suddenly October 14, 2003, 
entered into eternal rest. Born September 4, 1922 in Shubuta, Miss., 
to the late Nancy (Blakely) Green and the late Ephrem Green, 
also preceding him in death, his wife, Idell D. Green; one brother, John Ephrem Green; 
one sister, Lucy Green; one daughter, Mary (Gert) Green. He served in the U.S. Army during 
World War II. He moved to Albany, N.Y. in the early 1950's and was employed by the Brick Yard, 
U.S. Postal Service and Montgomery Wards. He was an active member of the Sheridan Hollow 
Neighborhood Association. Survived by one daughter, Ida Green of Albany; two sons, 
Thomas Jr. (Glenda) of Buffalo, N.Y. and Rusty (Ann) of Schenectady; 14 grandchildren; 
35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as a host of friends and other 
relatives. Funeral service Monday, October 20, 2003 at 12 noon at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 
269 Spruce Street. Calling hours 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the church, prior to the service.
