Get to Work
1.) Join a conservation group locally or internationally
2.) Create your own conservation group
3.) Fence areas to protect animals from predators.
4.) Create a firebreak around areas prone to fire.
5.) Extinguish campfires.
6.) Grow vegetables and herbs.
7.) Replant native flora.
8.) Leave dead trees standing- it is where native animals hide from predators.
9.) Exterminate weeds- some can spread diseases and most can harm the environment in many ways.
10.) Don't dump unwanted pets, instead sell them to RSPCA who can care for them at an animal shelter.
11.) Keep your cat inside at night- nearly all pets attack native birds or small marsupials without you knowing. You can attach a bell to you cat's or dog's collar so that it will warn it's prey to run away.
12.) Wash your car on the lawn instead of the roadside.
13.) Return undersize fish into the water.
14.) Don't leave fishing equipment behind.
15.) Conserve water.
16.) Reuse and recycle.
17.) Use less energy and reduce pollution by walking, riding your bike or taking public transport.
18.) Insulate your house.
19.) Purchase low-energy use appliances.
20.) Minimise chemical use.
21.) Purchase second hand/ recycled goods.
22.) Don't support or purchase goods made from threatened animals.
23.) Remove little.
24.) Encourage hunters to only shoot feral animals.
25.) Record and report sightings of unidentified/threatened fauna.
26.) Concern others publicly (on the radio, television or newspapers).
