Legolas is the prince of Northern Mirkwood. Since he is an elf he can never die of old age or get ill. Still he can  die of injury or a broken heart. He has very keen eyes , fasinating hearing abilities, able to walk on snow, sleep with his eyes open and is light footed.            In the first book The Fellowhip of the Ring Legolas was sent to Rivendell  as a messanger to alert Elrond that the creature Gollum has escaped. Some people say that he just tagged along with the fellowship, but those are not very optomistic point of views if you ask me. He is very useful to fellowship with his skill with his Elven longbow and elven knives.

Many people beleave that the bond between Legolas and Gimli the dwarf is one of the highlights of the movies and books. When they first meet in Rivendell things were a bit on the tipsy side, but after along journey they learn to accept one another as close friends.

In the last Lord of the Ring book Thr Return of the King it is said that Legolas and Gimli are the last of the Fellowship and sail far to the West. Still I guess we wont know what happens in the film til it comes into theaters December 17th 2003.

Orlando Bloom

Orlando Bloom was born on January 13th ,1977. In Canterbury, Kent,  England. Unfortunatley  Orlando's father died when he was just four years old so it was just him, his sister Samantha and his mother. When Orli was 16 he joined the National Youth Theatre. Afterwards he got a role on the tv show "Midsomer Murders".        Orlando has a dog named Maude and has 2 tattoos. One one his torso and it is a small sun. The other on his arm which is an elven symbol for nine.( All the members of the fellowship have them. )

Orli enjoys sports such as sky diving, snowboarding, surfing, and parachuting.
