CIVIC THEATRE RESIGNATION
Fort Wayne Civic Theatre Executive Director Al Franklin announced his resignation today after almost four and a half years at the helm. "Working an average of 60 hours each week has taken a toll on me and my family," said Franklin, "and now I'm looking forward to finding a position where I'll be able to spend more time at home." Franklin went on to say that the Fort Wayne community has been very supportive and that his experience at the Civic has been rewarding.

"GRAY" SKIES ARE GONNA CLEAR UP

Local musician and composer Adrienne Provenzano unveiled her newest creation, GRAY, a musical adaptation of Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray," on Saturday June 10. Librettist Carol Hirsch and lyricist Laurie Goldman (both from New York) were on hand for the reading at the Fort Wayne Ballet. Actor/singers included Steve Black, David Owen Boggs, Tracey Buckmaster, Andrew Gingrich, Scott Graham, and Jennifer Poiry.

ARENA IS SPREADING "RUMORS"
Director Nick Furiak will be holding auditions for "Rumors" at Arena Dinner Theatre on June 11 and 12 at 7: 00. The show opens on August 11 and rehearsals will start on Monday June 26. For more information call (219) 744-4266 or e-mail furiakbhs@hotmail.com.

NICK HARTMAN WINS AWARD
May 8 was the Theatre Department Recognition Night. Hartman had to be talked into attending and did not regret the decision because he won the department's first-ever Academic Achievement Award. "Can we say shocked as all get out!" says Hartman. "This was a nice twist to finales week."
