| Another one of my favorite musicals of all time. The new version of Jesus Christ Superstar, starring Glenn Carter, is one of the best musicals I have ever seen. |
| Andrew Lloyd Webber's famous rock-opera came into my world during the summer before 8th grade. I saw a preview for it on my CATS video and I knew I had to own it. I still get goosebumps when I think of the music and movie clips. |
| The remake, I think, it extremely well done. Glenn Carter's voice is phenominal. His acting is excellent when it comes to mirroring the heartbreak and doubt that his character is feeling. The new age feel given to JCSS is what makes it all the more powerful. The other roles of Mary Magdalena, Pilot and Judas were all also very well casted. The dancing, dramatic scenes, wonderfuil acting, and elaborate costumes give JCSS a great feel to make it a movie for everyone. Religious or otherwise. |
| I saw Jesus Christ Superstar at the San Francisco Orpheum theatre and it was amazing. I've waited my whole life to see it live. I waited at the stage door and got the autographs of Judas, Jesus, one other ensemble member and the signature of the lovely Zeyn Ali. He was in the ensemble also, but he was by far the best actor onstage. His facials were amazing. If you ever get the chance to see JCSS on video or live, take it!! You'll remember it forever! |
