   In  memory of my Mother

             My Dear Sweet Mother

        You always knew what to say,
          when life was hard that day.
              I always felt assured
        from your understanding way.

         Not always with your words,
      You taught Me right from wrong,
       but the way You lived your life,
            for Jesus You did long.

          You loved Me like no other,
          I could feel it in your touch.
           You gave Me all You had;
        Mom, I thank You very much.

         The last time that I saw You,
          words You could not speak,
       although I knew You loved Me.
             I had to let You leave.

         I whispered that I loved You,
                 and that it was ok.
    I hope those few words helped You
            to make it on your way.

              You did not go alone,
           for I felt your spirit leave;
          part of Me went with You.
         My heart could only grieve.

        The angels carried You safely
            to Heaven's golden shore.
         There you will be with Jesus
              to suffer never more.

           Wait for Me dear Mother,
           for someday there I'll be,
               never more to part,
              always You and Me.
