Snow Mountains

As you are walking down a small mountain path that disappears and reappears in front of you. You look up through the trees to see the sky getting darker with clouds. The clouds are a steel gray and seem to stop moving as the cover the last part of the sun. Soon the air seems to get thicker and colder and then you see a small flake float down in front of you. Then it is soon flowed by more making a beautiful site. You keep walking through the forest watching the snow hit the ground and begin to leave a soft layer.

As you are walking the path begins to widen out and become more and more clear. Soon you come to a beautiful wide meadow. A soft breeze blows making the lightly cover grass shift and sway. The leafless willow bends under the wind and makes some sound as its branches hit each other. The mountains and trees that surround this place are snow white like most of this place is. You walk forward through the meadow looking about and them happen upon a stream with banks of soft sand and silt. The water makes a soft bubbling and a few gurgles as it flows over and around rocks and trees.

As you are looking around you see a group of trees at the edge for this meadow. As you walk toward them you see they are almost a perfect circle. You get in by lifting some branches and ducking. You look up to see a small fire going in this area. There is no show in there and the ground in dry. Up above you see that the trees cover this area making a shelter. You here a crack of a branch and spin around to see a large creature looking into your eyes.

She looks you over while swishing her tail, then walks over to the other side the farthest away from the fire and keeps studding you. "Hello…" she says. You answer back and look around but when you look back to were she is she is gone.

You look about and then walk out of the trees to see her running about in the now deep snow. She now seems to be like a foal, bucking and kicking up the new snow, she also has a grin on her face and a spark in her eyes. She blends in except for her purple spots. Then she stops and looks at you; "You may stay the night in the trees for this storm is heavy and you would probably like it better by the fire." Then with no other words goes back to the snow.

Just as you are heading back you here a war cry coming form the woods, it becomes nearer and nearer then you see a purple and white foal come streaming form the woods her little legs flying through the snow and a grin spreading across her face.

Then she spots you an screeches to a halt slipping in the snow and stopping splayed out her tail standing straight up and poofed out. She stares at you her eyes locked and ears perked. Then her eyes flash to the other and she knickers. Soon you hear a reply in a language you can’t understand and the foal un tenses and trots past you her head held high and a small peace of bight green plant hanging form her mouth, leaving you to think were she got that in this snow. Then when she get s few feet form you she take off once more to race done to the snow and the other that you met earlier.

You stay out looking at them a bit longer then go to the fire. They return long behind to you and walk to a corner. "What is your reasons for coming here?" the foal’s voice questions soft and steady. You soon get in to a story of why you are wandering, were you have been and who you have met. She nods while listening and seems to like to here your story. You soon finish and look at her.

"Well," you say, "I would like to here your story…"

She looks at you and begins, "Ok, This story is short and I have not told it that many times…. Well I am Varqu'Secat^'Ratheim and my parents were wild and roamed these mountains," she says in a low voice. She continues for a while on as you listen to her and the storm outside the tree's surrounding the small meadow. Soon after the conversation becomes silent you fall asleep by the warm crackling fire. But before you fall asleep you hear the other speak and mention her name and her parents.

In the morning, you walk out of the trees to see a path laid in front of you and many tracks in the snow around were she has been playing. You look around to see if you can see her but all you see that might be her is a figure at the top of the mountain standing still wail the wind softly blows.

As you walk on something flashes behind you, turning another mare stands in the snow. Her bright yellow markings standing out agents the white, looking her over again you catch a large grin that passes over her face.

She then proceeds to prance up to you her tail held high and snow kicking from her large hooves. As she stops only mere inches from you she then turns and canters off with out a word, neck arched and grinning. As she leaves you can swear that she was giggling.

With once last glance before you leave you see the three meeting on the mountain side, and then go off. All run like the wind mains and tails moving as if they had no captor. Then as soon as you saw them they are gone once more over the ridge and into the snowy tree covered mountains.
