Herald Island
| Herald Island is a pretty good place where you or your family can spend a day or half fishing. To get there, go on to Motorway 16 until you get to the Hobsonville Road turn off. Take Hobsonville Road and keep going for about 4 km, then turn left to Brigham Road. After that, turn right to Kauri Road, and then right to Kingsway Road. When you get to Herald Island, take The Terrace to get to the wharves. There are two wharves in Herald Island where you can fish from. The best time to fish there is right after high tide. What do you expect to catch there? Jack mackerels, yellow-eyed mullets, pipers, spotties, parores, kahawais, and snappers (at dusk). | ||
